Anne Milton has launched her campaign as the Conservative Parliamentary Candidate for the general election on 8th June.
Anne said: 'I am delighted to be putting my name forward to stand again in the General Election on 8th June. It has been a privilege and an honour to serve as your Member of Parliament since 2005. As many of you know, I trained as a nurse and worked in the NHS for 25 years. I went into politics because I believe we need politicians who have front-line experience of our public services. My background is very much at the heart of all that guides me in politics. For instance, at the moment there is much concern about changes to stroke services and while some change is often necessary to get the very best treatment available, my own experience shows me that people need to be cared for close to where they live.'

She added: 'I will always be there to help you with any problems you have. This has been a hugely rewarding part of my role as MP over the past 12 years. Whether it is helping with benefits or housing, getting support for children with special needs or making sure small businesses get their voice heard in government, I will always work to get the help people need. If re-elected, I will continue to make sure our voice in Cranleigh and Guildford is heard loud and clear at the heart of government.'
