As complaints from housing tenants continue to increase, an overspend of £13.5 million has been uncovered in the Housing Department.
The new report uncovers work being paid for twice, work being paid for despite not being completed, or work simply not being completed at all.
Council properties are being left empty between tenants for an average of 350 days, compared with a national average of 20 days, whilst the waiting time for a 2 bedroom house exceeds 6 years.
All this combined with the Lib Dems' failure to build any new social housing since taking office in 2019.
Guildford deserves better.
