Guildford’s MP Anne Milton was delighted to welcome Visit Surrey and some of Surrey’s finest food and drink producers to the Houses of Parliament to showcase what Surrey has to offer.
Anne invited Visit Surrey to bring a “Taste of Surrey” to the Houses of Parliament and around 150 MP, Peers and parliamentary staff came along to discover and sample a bit of Surrey.
MPs, Peers and staff were able to experience superb Surrey food and beverages from local businesses such as Chalk Hills Bakery, Albury Vineyard and Four Gables Group to name a few, whilst also learning more about Surrey’s tourism offerings of museums, theatres, sporting venues and attractions.
Everyone was delighted that the Prime Minister found time to come by and meet ambassadors for Surrey. After meeting with Visit Surrey to congratulate them on the hugely successful day, Mr Cameron took the time to speak with Surrey food and drinks producers.
Anne said: “A Taste of Surrey Day was a fantastic event and it was great how everyone got behind this. I am very grateful to everyone involved on the day for bringing Surrey to Westminster and showing what it was to offer from food and drink to tourist attractions.
