Anne Milton, Guildford’s MP, has sent out a message asking people to nominate local good causes. As part of Lloyd’s Helping Britain Prosper Plan, good causes in communities across the UK can benefit from the Community Fund with grants of up to £3,000, supporting projects and services that make a positive difference to local communities.
Anne Milton MP says “This is a great opportunity for local groups, and one not to be passed up. Please go to www.lloydsbank.com/communityfund and nominate a local good cause in the constituency!”
Organisations which are eligible to be nominated include registered charities, not-for-profit community organisations or groups and Social Enterprises, such as those whose profits are reinvested in the business for the benefit of the local community.
Nominations can be made online at www.lloydsbank.com/communityfund. Once nominated, each group will be invited to directly apply to Community Fund online. Nominations will close on 30 April 2014, with applications remaining open until 9 May 2014.
The final shortlist of 1,400 good causes will be compiled over May and June and be put to a public vote in September and October.
