Local MP, Anne Milton, recently attended the summer reception of Sunrise Senior Living.
Over 60 guests joined staff and residents as Sunrise of Guildford celebrated summer with a traditional garden party. Attendees enjoyed the summer heat as the sun shone for the party, and cooled down with refreshing sparkling wine. The afternoon also included an impromptu art auction which raised over £100 for the Alzheimer’s Society. Anne joined in the festivities and enjoyed having the chance to speak with everyone.
Ian Restall, Sunrise of Guildford’s Director of Community Relations, said she was a "complete delight" and also added: "The day was perfect! We couldn’t have asked for better weather, or a better turn out. Everyone had a brilliant time."
Anne said: "It was great to have the time to go along to the summer party and meet not only the residents but also their families and friends, some of whom had travelled from as far away a Cornwall. The staff put so much effort into the day and were rewarded by amazing weather. Pimms, sparkling wine, canapés and the fantastic staff who made everyone feel a valued member of the Sunrise community, made it a perfect day."
